The Video Seminar Course

Video Seminar training is designed to teach business professionals how to write and shoot video that tells the right story, keeps engagement, and builds your brand. There are two courses to choose from: The Video Seminar and Social Media Video for Dummies.

Social Media Video for Dummies / 8.0 Hours

Social Media Video for Dummies is a 3-part training that will teach you how to make business-level video for marketing and social media.  It includes Section 1 and Section2 of The Video Seminar (see below).

After shooting your videos, you will upload your work and we will provide you with two (2) professional edits of your video and send them back to you. You will also receive lifetime access to the Alumni Center at the Video Seminar website.

The Video Seminar / 12.0 Hours

The Video Seminar is a 3-part training that will teach you how to make business-level video for marketing and social media.

Section 1 – Start Here / 4.0 Hours
This section gives you the groundwork and specific knowledge you need to make a business level video on any topic. There are 11 modules in this section:

Behind the Camera, Workflow, Story Concept + Storyboard, Simple Shot Framing + Background, Aspect Ratio, Resolution, Frame Rate, Audio Basics for Video, Lighting Basics for Video, Lighting Equipment, The Simple Smartphone Rig, Presenting the “Real” You, Testimonials.

Section 2 – The Evergreen Selfie Case Study / 4.0 Hours
This section is an activity. The instructor(s) will be there to facilitate as needed. You will pair up with a partner and work together to write and shoot two Evergreen Selfies – one for each. These will be done with the same script.

Section 3 – The 20 Questions Case Study / 4.0 Hours
This section is an activity. The instructor(s) will be there to facilitate as needed. You will pair up with a partner and work together to write and shoot two 20 Questions videos – one for each.

After shooting your videos, you will upload your work and we will provide you with two (2) professional edits of each video (4 total) and send them back to you. Additionally, there will be one (1) Zoom call a week after your course to follow up and answer any questions as you may have. You will also receive lifetime access to the Alumni Center at the Video Seminar website.

The Video Seminar Webinar / 1.0 Hour
This is a video of a Zoom presentation to a group of business people who had done little or no video, but wanted to learn more. In this course Joe talks with the group about: The learning curve of video and what to expect when you’re getting started, the story you tell in your video, how you write a script to support the story, the basic elements of editing and why you need them, proper phone and camera settings for video, the two kinds of microphones, basic lighting elements, backdrop and background, using a “real” camera.

How to Make a Simple Video / 1 Hour
This course focuses on the core skills for pre-production and post-production that everyone needs to make a great video. Story concept, storyboard, script development, shooting in a studio, editing. This course contains 12 videos. You don’t need any equipment for this course.
